How I met Daymond John, President, CEO of FUBU and Investor on theShark Tank Show

When I first found out about the HSN Project “American Dream Academy”, I had no doubt it was going to be well worth my trip from San Diego, CA. to Washington DC, knowing that Daymond John was going to kick off the academy with a Q&A would be icing on the cake!!

"Daymond Garfield John [born c. 1968/1969) is an American businessman, investor, television personality, author, and motivational speaker. He is best known as the founder, president, and CEO of FUBU, and appears as an investor on the ABC reality television series Shark Tank.U.S. Presidential Ambassador for Global Entrepreneurship.He is based in New York City".

The fact that I got to meet him in person and that he liked my homemade #RiseandGrind badge was an OMG GIRLLL moment.
The atmosphere at the HSN academy was very positive, engaging, genuine, inspiring and at some point very funny, which made it a pleasurable learning experience. What I liked the most was the wide range of topics and it was very well organized.

• Having the opportunity to network with such a diverse group of fellow entrepreneurs was amazing! We shared our journeys, contacts, secrets, failures and expertise, this Academy experience was the best R.O.I. ever !! On the last day of the event I was very moved when I received this text from a young lady I met at the academy, “As a young women seeing other women being brave enough to pursue their passion fuels my motivation every day” little does she know that her text message is what fuels me. This was a clear reminder that we should never stop learning and stay mindful to sharing our knowledge and golden nuggets throughout our Journey and continue to grow our tribe.
